Discover Boating Lead System (DBLS) FAQ

How do I get help on using the DBLS?

  1. For all questions or requests for training please contact support.b2b@discoverboating.com

How can shoppers submit a lead?

  1. Shoppers can request more information on the Discoverboating.com site through several request forms – Connect with a Manufacturer, Beginner’s Guide Request, or through a Brand Card

How is a lead assigned to my brand or dealership?

  1. Connect with a Manufacturer
    1. This form is accessible once a customer chooses a boat type such as All-Purpose Fishing Boats or Bowriders.
      1. If I’m a boat manufacturer: lead is assigned to brands that have elected to receive leads for the selected boat type
      2. If I’m an engine manufacturer: all leads regardless of type are sent to an engine manufacturer
      3. If I’m a Certified Dealer: the lead will be sent to you if the customer lives within the radius range you have chosen for your dealership which is most likely 50 or 75 miles
  2. Request a Beginner’s Guide
    1. This form asks a customer for the activities or boat type in which they have interest. If the customer does not know the answer to this question, all brands will receive this lead.
      1.  If I’m a boat manufacturer: lead is assigned to brands that have elected to receive leads for the selected boat type or corresponding boat type to the activity selected
      2. If I’m an engine manufacturer: all leads regardless of type are sent to an engine manufacturer
      3. If I’m a Certified Dealer: the lead will be sent to you if the customer lives within the radius range you have chosen for your dealership which is most likely 50 or 75 miles
  3. Brand Card
    1. This form is displayed in each boat type area providing more information on the brands that sell the selected boat type. If a customer selects Contact Brand the lead will be sent to the brand represented on the chosen brand card.
  4. Canadian and U.S. Territories
    1. If you are a U.S. based brand or dealer and have the Canadian territory turned on in Growboating.org you will receive leads for residents of either the U.S. or Canada based on normal routing rules.
    2. If you are a Canadian based brand or dealer and have the U.S. territory turned on in Growboating.org you will receive leads for residents of either Canada or the U.S. based on normal routing rules.

How do I get my lead?

  1. There are many ways to receive leads generated on discoverboating.com. Contact support.b2b@discoverboating.com to change the method you use to receive leads.
    1. Email Notification – this is the default method. If you are assigned to receive a lead, an email will be sent to the contacts designated in Growboating.org to receive leads for your brand or dealership. The email will provide a link to view the lead information within the DBLS.
    2. ADF or FSDF XML Email – this method is available upon request. These emails are not meant to be read by OEM or dealer personnel, but instead are designed to be automatically ingested into a CRM system. Check with your CRM provider to see if this format is supported by the CRM you use.
    3. Remote Lead Export – this method is an API designed to be used by a CRM system to retrieve leads on a regularly scheduled basis. As opposed to the email methods, this is a “Pull” process to retrieve leads as opposed to a “Push” method. This method is useful for getting leads in batch to process into a CRM system. Check with your CRM provider to see if this format is supported by the CRM you use.
    4. Direct to CRM
      1. Rollick Aimbase – contact your Rollick support representative to receive leads directly into your Aimbase Marketing system at no additional charge.
      2. Other CRM’s – contact support.b2b@discoverboating.com to request a direct DBLS to CRM real time integration of leads as they are submitted on discoverboating.com. The cost to setup a DBLS to CRM integration is a one-time charge of $250. Supported CRM’s are:
        1. IDS
        2. ARI – Footsteps
        3. DP360
        4. Hubspot
        5. NetSuite
        6. CDK Lightspeed – v-Sept/EVO
        7. Salesforce
        8. Zoho
        9. Microsoft Dynamics CRM

What is the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)?

  1. This important privacy regulation which applies to the residents of Canada is very important for your brand or dealership to understand. For more information, please visit https://www.growboating.org/assets/cabinets/Cabinet466/DBLS%20CASL%20Letter.pdf
